Cooked and peeled organic chestnuts.
Cultivated in the Ardeche region of France by some 80 organic co-operatives and growers. The Ardeche is well known for its chestnut groves that were planted as far back as the 13th century. These organic chestnuts are picked from the beginning of September through to November, shelled by hand and then cooked.
