What’s in a bag?
£4 veg bags and £4 Fruit bags are suitable for one or two people
£8 veg bags and £7 Fruit bags are suitable for a family or those who eat a lot of fruit & veg!

Vegetable bags always include potatoes, onions and carrots. In addition the bag will include some greens, some other roots in the winter, and a selection of the best produce that will change every week with the seasons.

Fruit bags usually have bananas, apples, sometimes pears, some citrus fruit, some exotic fruit (Kiwis/ mango/grapes/ figs etc) or soft fruit depending on the season.

Where does the produce come from?
Where possible we try to use local organic veg and fruit. Four farms that we work closely with are Lodge Farm in Kirk Langley, New House Farm near Ashbourne, Broomfield College in Morley, and Trinity Farm near Ilkeston. However, between January and May we find local growers stocks are very low and need to get produce from further afield. In sourcing our produce food miles is one of our main considerations.

By supporting our box scheme you will help to create a demand for organic produce which enables us to plan with local growers to increase their production. Because we have a steady customer base we can plan in advance with the organic growers for the seasons ahead.

Our local growers have increased their production area this year to supply Sound Bites.
